A long and intense learning trajectory: "Sociodrama in Education"

Introductory Note

The trajectory of social participation that I have carried out in Sociodrama since 2011 has been long and very rewarding, full of lessons learned. It was in that year that I took the first steps in the training organized by the Sociedade Portuguesa de Sociodrama (SPP), by invitation made by Dr. Manuela Maciel. Both Dr. Manuela Maciel, and the SPP and their entire team of trainers, I am very grateful for such an inspiring beginning on this path, whether of self-knowledge or in the pursuit of creativity and spontaneity, in the manner of J. Levy Moreno (1889- 1974), through the movement and expressiveness of the body, through knowledge, exploration and articulation with other active and creative learning methods.

I would also like to thank each and every colleague I came across, as well as each and every international trainer, in whose workshops and training sessions I have had the honor of participating and deepening my knowledge and experiences: Daniela Simmons, Monica Westberg, Monica Zuretti, Mario Buchbinder, Marcia Karp, Jana Damjanov, Börge Kristoffersen, Mariolina Guarino Werner, Judith Teszary, Connie Miller, Sofia Symeonidou, Nina Garcia, Mauricio Gasseau, Nikos Takis, Diana Adderley, Ron Wiener, Melinda Ashley Meyer, Galabina Tarashoeva, Fabian Blobel, Natacha Navarro Roldan, Edward Schreiber, Leandra Perrotta.

From the bottom of my heart, a special thanks to two friends and walking partners, Léa Kellermann and Luzia Lima-Rodrigues.

As Antoine de Saint-Éxupery says “Those who pass by us do not go alone, they do not leave us alone. They leave a little of themselves, they take a little of us”.

The projects in which I have been involved and what I have written, in the search for adequate and socially useful research, have been very rich sources of inspiration in this search for a more just, inclusive and equitable society for all people.

Here below are the “stones” that I have walked on this path.

My Life Mottos:

“Learn till you die!” and “They don't know that the dream is a constant of Life, as concrete and definite as anything else.”
